Utah won’t be in a prime location to see the solar eclipse on Aug. 21.
But the Beehive State’s residents will be able to see a partial eclipse at multiple points of the day.

Shadow and Substance recently put together a video and graphic that shows what the sun and moon will look like in Utah on the day of the eclipse.

“While Utah won't be in the zone of totality for the upcoming solar eclipse, you'll still be able to see a partial solar eclipse. This video shows the time and what you'll see of the eclipse in various areas here in Utah,” according to KSL-TV.
Utah residents are preparing for the eclipse in multiple ways, including planning for drives to Idaho and Wyoming.
Of course, there are some concerns that Utahns will want to drive north during high-traffic hours, missing the eclipse in the process.
But Patrick Wiggins, a local sky watcher, told the Deseret News that finding a good spot to watch the eclipse is a must.
"Take a few hours," Wiggins said. "Drive north. See totality. There literally is no comparison."
