Travis Campbell, a district staff member for Rep. Rob Bishop, R-Utah, climbs Beach Ball Crag in Big Cottonwood Canyon with members of the Utah chapter of the American Alpine Club on Wednesday. Members of the chapter, along with Utah athletes Caroline Gleich and Stacy Bare, took staffers of Utah's congressional delegation climbing to showcase the state’s rich climbing resources. Members of the club and the athletes also used the event to share their experiences on public lands with the staffers and to celebrate Utah’s rich outdoor recreation heritage. They also discussed public lands issues, the outdoor recreation economy and climbing management in Utah.
