PROVO — The Utah Jazz continued their winning ways at home, beating the Charlotte Hornets 106-94 to pick up their eighth consecutive victory — only their second win in that streak at Vivint Arena.

Turning point: Joe Ingles hits a 3 then assists Raul Neto on a late layup as the Jazz scored the final five in the third quarter to take a seven-point edge into the fourth, setting the stage for a strong finish.

The hero: It's hard to pick between Joe Ingles, who scored most of his career-high 23 points in the first three quarters, Donovan Mitchell, who led the team with 25 points and electrifying dunks, or Rudy Gobert, who had 20 points and 11 rebounds. We'll go with all three. Heroes.

3 keys

  • The Jazz shot 48.8 percent and held the road-weary Hornets to 41.2 percent shooting in winning for only the second time at home during their spurt.
  • Rudy Gobert grabbed 11 rebounds and the Jazz dominated the glass by outrebounding the Hornets 49-33.
  • Utah's defense really came through strong in the fourth quarter, holding Charlotte to just 17 points.
