SALT LAKE CITY — The musical “Wicked” recently celebrated its 15-year run on Broadway, and in two weeks, the production about the Land of Oz makes its way to Salt Lake City.

And it turns out some lucky theatergoers will get to see the musical for just $25.

Daily drawings for “Wicked,” which runs Jan. 30-March 3 at the Eccles Theater, will take place before each performance. A limited number of tickets will be available for each drawing, and patrons must arrive at the Black Box theater box office 2½ hours before a show to enter their name for a chance to win up to two orchestra seats for $25 each, according to a news release. Participants must bring a vaild photo ID, and only cash will be accepted.

“Wicked,” with three Tony Awards to its name, has been a staggering success since it’s 2003 premiere. It has been performed in over 100 cities in 15 countries and translated into six languages, according to the news release. Based on Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel, the story predates Dorothy's arrival to Oz and chronicles the unikely friendship between witches Elphaba the Wicked and Glinda the Good.
