Bobby Wagner, the former Utah State Aggies star and current Pro Bowl linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks, spent some quality time with one of his idols last week.
Actor Will Smith and director Ang Lee were in Seattle on Thursday, Oct. 3, to promote the duo’s latest film, “Gemini Man.”
The pair did so at a Microsoft learning event — “Outside In” — and Wagner was able to make an appearance, going so far as to gift Smith his No. 54 jersey.
The opportunity was of the once-in-a-lifetime variety for Wagner, who later thanked Smith on Instagram.
“Man this was really a moment for me!” Wagner wrote. “Someone I really look up to. @willsmith I appreciate you.”
The Seahawks certainly appreciate Wagner, who signed a three-year, $54 million contract extension with the team over the summer, keeping him in Seattle through the 2022 season.
Wagner has totaled 52 tackles through five games this season, as well as three tackles for loss.
In the Seahawks’ 30-29 win over the Los Angeles Rams last week, the linebacker had five tackles and a hit on Rams quarterback Jared Goff.

Utah Jazz fans are sure to not love it, but Ben Simmons just made the first 3-pointer of his NBA career.
It came in preseason action against the Guangzhou Loong Lions, but that didn’t stop the whole of Philadelphia from celebrating.
