Jay-Z turned 50 on Wednesday, and to celebrate the occasion, all of his music has been returned to music streaming service Spotify, according to CNN.
“Happy birthday ... Welcome back to Spotify,” the service tweeted in celebration of the musician’s return to its site.
Considering Jay-Z owns Spotify competitor Tidal, it is unclear why his music is back on the streaming service, but fans have not hesitated to hide their excitement.
One fan excitedly tweeted a screenshot of the artist’s albums available for streaming on Spotify, while another called it a “blessed day.”
Meanwhile, other fans tweeted GIFs to depict their reactions to the news, and some sought advice on which album they should listen to first.
Jay-Z previously had his music available for streaming on both Apple Music and Spotify, before it was all removed in April 2017, according to The Verge. While his music quickly retuned to Apple Music, it has been absent from Spotify for the past two years.
Other artists have removed their music from Spotify at some point or another, such as Taylor Swift, who temporarily removed her music from the streaming service in 2014 under the reasoning that she was unhappy with people being able to listen to her music for free.
Swift even went so far as to write an op-ed about the subject, stating that “valuable things should be paid for.”
