SALT LAKE CITY — BYUtv’s popular sketch comedy show “Studio C” has announced its new cast for its upcoming 10th season.

The cast, it was announced Tuesday morning, includes existing “Studio C” alums Tori Pence and Dalton Johnson, who joined the cast before the rest of the “Studio C” founders left the show to launch JK! Studios, a Utah County-based media company.

Interestingly, eight of the nine new cast members did not attend Brigham Young University — the show originated as an outgrowth of BYU’s sketch comedy troupe Divine Comedy, and was composed of current and former BYU students. The new cast brings in comic actors from all over the United States as well as Canada, many of whom have experience in well-known comedy troupes like Upright Citizens Brigade and Second City.

According to a news release from BYUtv, the new cast members have the following backgrounds:

  • April Rock (Connecticut): Studied at Pepperdine University, Upright Citizens Brigade, Second City and John Rosenfeld Studios.
  • Arvin Mitchell (Missouri): A finalist on NBC’s “Standup for Diversity,” has done stand-up comedy all over the world, including Germany, Spain, Italy, Africa and England.
  • Austin Williams (Tennessee): Studied at Belmont University, Upright Citizens Brigade, iO and Second City.
  • Garet Allen (Utah): Media arts student at Brigham Young University and former member of sketch team Divine Comedy.
  • Ike Flitcraft (New Jersey): Studied at Belmont University, Upright Citizens Brigade, iO and Second City.
  • Jessica Drolet (Quebec): Studied at the Acting Center, Upright Citizens Brigade, the Pack and Groundlings, and is a former member of the house sketch team, Tantrum at the Pack Theater in Hollywood.
  • Jetta Juriansz (Arizona): Known for being on Hulu's "Pocket Watch Challenge Squad" and "Glowing Up Fast" on Funny or Die.
  • Matthew Galvan (California): Film directing and acting major at John Paul the Great Catholic University.
  • Tanner Gillman (Utah): Has appeared in 25 film and television projects, doing work for Amazon Prime, Paramount and Hallmark.
