SALT LAKE CITY — It’s no secret the Millennium Falcon’s cockpit is packed with buttons, switches and knobs — some of which are infrequently on fire. But how often are they actually used?

“Star Wars” audiences are often treated to at least one or two sequences per film where Han Solo, Chewbacca, Lando or Rey frantically flip switches and mash buttons as they execute complicated flight maneuvers in the heat of battle.

So naturally Star Wars Kids set out to count every button and switch flipped in the Falcon throughout the series, according to io9.

The "Star Wars by the Numbers” video — which you can see on YouTube — starts with button and switch interactions in “Solo: A Star Wars Story” and works its way through the series — ending at 355 presses total.

According to the video, “The Empire Strikes Back” accounts for the largest portion of button presses at just over 100, while “The Last Jedi” featured about 10. “Solo” — the most recent “Star Wars” movie — includes over 90 presses, and “The Force Awakens” is responsible for over 80.

The next chance to see the Falcon’s buttons pushed on screen will be in “Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker” this December.

If you can’t wait, you could always stop by Disneyland, where the new “Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run” ride, which io9 reports features an authentic Falcon cockpit — complete with working buttons and switches.
