SALT LAKE CITY — Earlier this week Paramount Pictures released the first look at “Sonic the Hedgehog,” a live-action adaptation of the game series.

Fans on Twitter weren’t thrilled, and some have offered their own takes on the trailer’s music and the title character’s design.

Edward Pun, an artist working for Sucker Punch Productions, reworked the blue hedgehog’s appearance to align more with his stylized video game counterpart.

Others followed suit with fan art and poster edits.

Jim Carrey’s Dr. Robonik even got a makeover reminiscent of Thanos from “Avengers: Endgame.”

Some Twitter users added new audio to the trailer, which features Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise.”

“Sonic the Hedgehog” is coming to theaters in November and stars Carrey, James Marsden and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
