Pizza Hut will release a new pizza based on Cheez-It crackers.
What’s going on: Pizza Hut announced a new stuffed Cheez-It pizza that has four baked squares with a cheddar Cheez-It crust.
Guests can stuff it with cheese or pepperoni and cheese. It’s served with marinara sauce for quality dipping.
When: It’s available across the country starting now.
Price: It costs $6.49 normally. But starting Sept. 24, the pizza will cost $6 when you buy two or more items from the $5 N’ Up Lineup, according to The Takeout.
What they’re saying: Marianne Radley, chief brand officer of Pizza Hut, praised in the move in a statement.
“We pride ourselves on being the go-to for unexpected pizza innovations, and I can’t think of a more (expletive) partner than Cheez-It to bring our next original menu item to life,” Radley said. “Not to mention, this collab is the perfect way to kick off football season, combining America’s go-to gameday cravings into one next-level snack.”
Radley told CNBC that she was surprised to find Cheez-Its are more than just crackers.
“I always thought it was cheese flavoring, but it was really is cheese that is baked into their crackers,” Radley said.
