PROVO — BYU running back Ty’Son Williams will not return to the Cougars’ game against No. 22 Washington after leaving late in the first half with an injury.

BYU Athletics confirmed Williams, who took a hit to his knee on a reception during the second quarter, isn’t expected to return to the game early in the third quarter. After trainers cared to Williams on the field in the final minute of the first half, he was taken immediately to the Cougars’ locker room.

Minutes later, BYUtv’s Lauren McClain reported Williams was on the sideline in street clothes.
