Andrew Yang recently spoke out against pornography and harmful online content.

Yang tweeted Friday that people need more power to monitor what children see online, including adult films.

“As a parent of young kids I believe rampant access to pornography is a real problem. We need to empower families to be able to moderate what our kids see and when,” Yang tweeted.

Utah Lt. Gov Spencer Cox quote-tweeted Yang’s tweet Sunday with a caption of the three clapping hands emoji.

Yang’s charge against pornography is a break from Arizona Democrats, who opposed the state’s resolution to call pornography a public health crisis, according to The Arizona Republic. The resolution said pornography “perpetuates a sexually toxic environment that damages all areas of our society.”

The resolution called for more education into how pornography creates an addiction for minors and can even lead to mental illness. Arizona Democrats objected on the grounds that it was distracting officials from true public health crises.

Utah became the first state to declare pornography a public health crisis in 2016, which was reported by the Deseret News.
