Warning: This episode contains spoilers for season 2, episode 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’
“Star Wars: The Mandalorian” ended the third episode of season 2 with quite a cliffhanger that will sit well with “Star Wars” fans — The Mandalorian learned the location of a Jedi named Ahsoka Tano.
The Mandalorian and the Child, who have been seeking the location of a Jedi so they can learn more about the Child’s origins, finally have a destination in mind. They will now head to the city of Calodan on the planet Corvus to find her.
Ahsoka Tano is a rather famous character in the “Star Wars” universe. She made her debut in “The Clone Wars” animated show, and then later appeared in “Star Wars Rebels.” This will be her first appearance in a live-action “Star Wars” movie (other than a slight voiceover moment in “The Rise of Skywalker.”
Here’s what we know about Ahsoka Tano so far:
- Tano was famously the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, who became Darth Vader. She learned under Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi during “The Clone Wars,” often getting into trouble.
- Ahsoka spent years among the Jedi Order. She was let go from the order after a mishap with a fellow Jedi, where she was accused of a crime she didn’t commit. She left the Jedi Order when she learned how easy it was for the Jedi to blame someone else and not admit fault.
- Ahsoka Tano survived Order 66. She led the Siege of Mandalore, a battle between the Darth Maul’s Mandalorian army and the Republic, which happened at the end of “The Clone Wars” animated show. She was attacked by clone troopers because of Order 66, just like all other Jedis. She escaped in the end, heading off into parts unknown for the time being.
- Later, Ahsoka showed up in “Star Wars Rebels,” another animated show. She joined main star Ezra Bridger to battle the Empire, and even came face-to-face with her old master, Darth Vader.
- Since then, we have no idea where she has been and what she has been up to.
