East Idaho News reporter Nate Eaton said he discovered something unique in a grocery store in Rexburg, Idaho — cookies that referenced the Lori Vallow case.

What’s going on?

Eaton — who has done so much reporting on the Vallow case — shared a photo on Twitter of a cookie with white and orange frosting that reads: “Where’s the kids?”

Eaton wrote: “I’m at a concert with my wife tonight and one of the ladies working in the ticket office showed me this photo. Apparently these cupcakes are being sold at Albertsons in Rexburg. It’s the question everyone is asking.”

  • The cookies reference the ongoing Vallow case, which has made national headlines.

What’s the Lori Vallow case?

  • Vallow, the mother of two missing children, faces federal charges of desertion and nonsupport, as I wrote for the Deseret News. She made her first court appearance in Idaho after she arrested in Hawaii in February, wearing an orange-and-white jumpsuit, no less. Her bond was lowered from $5 million to $1 million. She was expected to leave jail that night, as I wrote.
  • The children are still missing.
  • The case has been connected to suspicious deaths and allegations of cultlike religious beliefs, per the The Associated Press.
