Eighteen Utah players, including several who are juniors with college eligibility remaining, were honored at Rice-Eccles Stadium as part of Senior Day festivities prior to kickoff of Friday’s game against Colorado.

Those who were announced, in order:

  • Junior wide receiver/kick return specialist Britain Covey
  • Junior linebacker Devin Lloyd
  • Senior defensive back Vonte Davis
  • Junior offensive lineman Nick Ford
  • Junior tight end Cole Fotheringham
  • Senior wide receiver Theo Howard
  • Junior tight end Dalton Kincaid
  • Junior tight end Brant Kuithe
  • Junior fullback Joe Ludwig
  • Senior deep snapper Keegan Markgraf
  • Senior safety Brandon McKinney
  • Senior linebacker Ali’i Niumatalolo
  • Senior offensive lineman Bamidele Olaseni
  • Junior running back TJ Pledger
  • Senior defensive lineman Hauati Pututau
  • Junior linebacker Nephi Sewell
  • Junior defensive lineman Mika Tafua
  • Senior safety Tyrone Young-Smith

That doesn’t necessarily mean that all of the juniors who participated Saturday are moving on, coach Kyle Whittingham explained earlier in the week.

“We could very well have some guys that go through that ceremony that decide to come back,” he said. “It’s better to err on that side than not have them walk and not recognize them.”
