The NCAA’s transfer portal has been a hot topic around the Utah State basketball program in recent weeks, but on Saturday, the football team benefited from it, as former Michigan Wolverines defensive back Hunter Reynolds announced on Twitter his intention to leave Ann Arbor for Logan.

Listed by Michigan at 6 feet and 192 pounds, Reynolds played in 20 games over three seasons for the Wolverines after joining them as a preferred walk-on, tallying 22 tackles (12 solo, 10 assisted). In 2019, he was awarded a scholarship.

A native of South Orange, New Jersey, Reynolds had announced on April 5 that he was entering the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining.
