4A Super Regional (Game 1s)
Desert Hills 12, Canyon View 1
Desert Hills picked up a win over Canyon View after scoring three runs in the first inning and then tacking on nine more in the middle innings to end the game. Karson Irvin had three doubles and four RBIs in the win.
Snow Canyon took care of business in Game 1 of this best-of-three series by scoring nine runs over the last three innings to extend their lead from just two to double-digits.
Pine View’s offense was able to outlast Sky View’s in a thrilling game where the teams combined to score 31 runs. Four different Panthers recorded at least three RBI’s in the win.
Stansbury picked up a win in their series opener against Cedar Valley, Gage Miller hit a double and triple as well as picked up the win on the mound. Braydon Allie picked up two more RBI’s for the Stallions who’s biggest inning came form a five run second.
Mountain Crest 1, Juan Diego 0
Kolmyn Foulger singled home the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as Mountain Crest edged Juan Diego for the victory in Game 1 of their Super Regional series. Braydon Schiess picked up the win for the Mustangs striking out nine and only allowing three hits over seven innings.
Braxton Gill finished with a double and two triples as Ridgeline’s offensive scored at least a pair of runs in each of the four innings they got up to bat. The win pushes them within one game of clinching their spot in the next round of the state tournament.
Green Canyon picked up the road playoff win at Dixie after breaking a tie game in the top of the 7th inning. Dixie will now have to pick up a pair of wins on Friday to escape this best-of-three series.
Bear River 6, Crimson Cliffs 2
Bear River’s quick start and strong finish led to an upset win over Crimson Cliffs. The Bears let a 3-0 lead get down to just a single run, but another three runs late in the game closed the deal.
3A quarterfinals
Josh Staley had a dominant day on the mound for Juab, striking out six over six innings and only allowing two hits as Grantsville blanked top seed Juab to move on in the 3A state tournament winners bracket.
Richfield scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull away from Judge Memorial for the 3A quarterfinal victory as Kasey Giddings led the way at the plate going 2 for 4 for with a pair of solo home runs. Heston Jenson also had a strong day going 3 for 3.

2A quarterfinals
Gunnison scored the first two runs in the first inning and kept the lead going through seven innings. They scored four runs on five hits with no errors committed. Janzen Keisel pitched all seven innings striking out 16 batters.
Shaydon Benson had a great day on the mound to lead Parowan to the shutout victory over Kanab in the 2A quarterfinals. At the plate Benson went 3 for 3 with two RBI while on the mound he struck out nine and only allowed three hits for the complete-game victory.
