Dogecoin could have a major moment on Saturday night.

Why Dogecoin investors care about ‘SNL’

On Saturday night, Tesla CEO Elon Musk will serve as host of “Saturday Night Live.” Musk has been an enthusiast and fan of the cryptocurrency Dogecoin, which began as a joke and meme-based currency.

Some cryptocurrency fans and investors hope Musk will mention the cryptocurrency on the show, which would instantly raise the price as more people seek it out and invest.

According to Fortune magazine, this “could mean lots of pain — or euphoria — for investors, and likely heaps of both, depending on which side of the trade one falls.”

Did Musk talk about Dogecoin jokes?

In fact, Musk has hinted at potential Dogecoin jokes for “Saturday Night Live.” In a new video, Musk is approached by avid fans. He asks them what kind of jokes they want to hear on “SNL.” The fans responded with “DOGE” again and again.

  • “Is Doge your number one choice?” Musk asked.
  • The fans respond yes. When Musk is asked if he’ll mention Dogecoin, he replies, “We will see.”

Musk’s advice on Dogecoin

Musk has called for Dogecoin investors to exercise “caution” when it comes to investing in a new tweet.

“Cryptocurrency is promising, but please invest with caution!”
