Yes, National French Fry Day is a real thing, and several places are running deals to celebrate.
Here’s a list of fast-food chains offering free (or at least very discounted) fries on Tuesday.

Burger King
- Throughout July, Burger King is offering customers an order of large fries for $1 when ordered through the chain’s app, Yahoo reported.
Carl’s Jr.
- Carl’s Jr. has an ongoing deal that gives a free small order of fries and a small beverage to customers who sign up for the chain’s promo club and buy a Western Bacon Cheeseburger, according to Thrillist.
Checker’s
- Checker’s is giving out any size fries for $1 all day, Yahoo reported. Every dollar up to $100,000 made from the deal will go toward the organization No Kid Hungry, according to the chain’s website.
Jack in the Box
- Jack in the Box is giving away free orders of curly fries for customers who make purchases via the chain’s app, according to USA Today.
McDonald’s
- Customers who use the McDonald’s app can get a free order of medium fries with any purchase on Tuesday, USA Today reported.
Smashburger
- On Tuesday, all regular size fries at Smashburger are $1 with the purchase of a burger or sandwich, USA Today reported.
