Everybody get up — you can now watch “Space Jam: A New Legacy” from your home.

“Space Jam: A New Legacy” — the rebooted version of “Space Jam” where LeBron James takes on the Warner Bros. multiverse with the help of the Looney Tunes — is officially out in theaters and on HBO Max beginning Friday.

Why is ‘Space Jam’ on HBO Max?

HBO Max said back in December 2020 that its 2021 slate of films would be released in theaters and on HBO Max on the exact same day. This would allow people to see the new movies in theaters but also from home if they don’t feel comfortable going to theaters amid the pandemic.
