Marvel Studios released the final trailer for the upcoming “Eternals” film, which will debut in theaters later this year.

The trailer offers a glimpse at how the Eternals — a group of heroes who have been living forever — plan to fight off an emerging threat, which was created by all of Earth’s people coming back to Earth after the Thanos Snap.

  • The Eternals are “a group of immortal heroes forced out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s oldest enemy, The Deviants,” according to a Marvel press release.
  • The trailer makes clear why the Eternals never helped the Avengers with their growing threats even though they existed on Earth at the time.
  • “When you love something, you protect it,” the trailer caption reads, a theme presented again and again throughout the trailer.

The “Eternals” cast is packed with stars. Here’s who you can expect to see in the new movie:

  • Richard Madden as Ikaris.
  • Gemma Chan as Sersi.
  • Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo.
  • Lauren Ridloff as Makkari.
  • Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos.
  • Salma Hayek as Ajak.
  • Lia McHugh as Sprite.
  • Don Lee as Gilgamesh.
  • Barry Keoghan as Druig.
  • Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena.
  • Kit Harington plays Dane Whitman.
