NFL quarterbacks Zach Wilson and Tom Brady both celebrated birthdays on Tuesday, but as many on Twitter pointed out, the age difference is quite staggering.
Brady turned 44 on Tuesday while Wilson turned 22, meaning of course that Brady is exactly twice as old as Wilson.

A big QB birthday today: Jets’ QB Zach Wilson turns 22. Tom Brady also turns 44, as many are aware, but that makes him exactly double the age of Wilson while looking practically the same age as him. pic.twitter.com/mrAzkJZEzI

Definitely a reach but it is cool Tom Brady is exactly double Zach Wilson’s age. I’m ready to ✏️ him in the HOF after this https://t.co/wy6N7ZxSzx

Perhaps more jarring, Wilson was born just a little over a year before Brady’s first NFL game with the New England Patriots in 2000.
Asked Tuesday about sharing a birthday with Brady, Wilson said, “I mean, it’s pretty dang cool. I’d say one of the craziest parts is I think I was 1 in his first year in the NFL, so pretty crazy to think about.”

Wilson is a rookie this season with the New York Jets, while Brady is in his second campaign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after leading them to a victory in the Super Bowl last season. He has broken his own record for the oldest player in NFL history to win a championship multiple times now.
Prior to joining the Buccaneers, Brady played 20 seasons for the Patriots.
Surely a good deal of Brady’s longevity in the league has to do with the way he takes care of his body with the help of his trainer Alex Guerrero, as detailed in a 2019 Deseret News profile.
