Days after BYU won the battle in the trenches during the team’s 26-17 victory over Utah, the Cougars got a commitment from a lineman.

Talin Togiai, who plays at Rigby High in Idaho, announced via Twitter he is committed to play at BYU. He will be a part of the Cougars’ 2022 recruiting class.

Togiai is a 6-foot-6, 290-pounder who’s played on both the offensive and defensive lines.

He also held scholarship offers from Utah and Nebraska, per 247 Sports. Togiai reportedly is being recruited as an offensive line recruit even though he’s primarily played defensive line at Rigby, according to 247 Sports’ Jeff Hansen.

Togiai is the 15th commitment to join BYU’s 2022 recruiting class.
