Could Tom Brady play until he’s 50? That might depend on his wife

After Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl win last season in his first year with the team, many have wondered how long the 44-year-old will still be able to play in the NFL.

On Thursday, the Buccaneers posted a video on their YouTube channel of Brady playing a game of “Google It” with teammate and close friend Rob Gronkowski in which they answer questions that are often Googled about them.

The very first question Gronkowski asks Brady?

“Can Tom Brady play until 50 years old?”

Brady’s response: “Wow. Seems to be a really hot question lately. Can Tom Brady play ’til 50? Like, 50 years old? ... I mean, I don’t find it so difficult, and plus in Florida, it’s kind of a retiree state, so I feel like I can play and then just glide into retirement. I think I can. I think it’s a yes.”

Gronkowski, however, countered with what he called “a little spin to that question” and wondered if Brady’s wife, model Gisele Bundchen, would be OK with it.

Said Gronkowski: “I think it’s, ‘Will Gisele let Tom play ’til 50?’ That’s the real question.”

Laughing, Brady said, “That is a way better question, and in fact, why would they not Google that? I think they should.”

Brady’s answer to the question?

“That is of course no, that answer. I’m just kidding. I’m sorry, babe. I love you. You would let me. You’d let me do anything as long as I’m happy.”
