The Phoenix displayed strong offensive performances in the first half with Easton Wight throwing three touchdown passes, two of which landed with Jake Metcalfe for 12 and 16 yard scores. Phoenix’s Lucas Peterson and Wight also contributed with rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The Silverwolves attempted a late rally with two touchdowns from Slade Parker’s passes to Jace Hadley and Luke Shulz, but the margin proved too wide to close.
Davis 22, Syracuse 10
Davis defeated the Syracuse Titans 22-10 to end the regular season and clinch its first outright region championship since 2016. Quarterback Tradon Bessinger completed 29 of 35 passes for 287 yards and one touchdown to lead the Darts offense. Owen Talbot was a consistent force on the ground, racking up 36 yards and scoring two touchdowns; one in the first quarter, and a decisive 2-yard run with 5:35 left in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. The Titans managed to stay in the game, their lone touchdown coming from a 17-yard pass from Jake Hopkins to Antonio Mayer in the second quarter. Davis’ strong defensive performance, with nine tackles each from McCoy Frasure and Crew Cunningham, shut down the Titans.
Weber 42, Layton 14
The Weber Warriors triumphed over Layton Lancers 42-14. The Warriors demonstrated a consistent offense with Nakosi Swain scoring two rushing touchdowns, contributing significantly to Weber’s lead. Quarterback Crew Cacciacarne also played a vital role completing two significant passes for touchdowns, a 22-yard pass to Ian Elmore in the first quarter, and a 20-yard pass to Salesi Moa in the second. Layton’s points came late with touchdowns scored in the second and fourth quarter, but they were unable to rally against the Warriors’ robust performance.
Region 2
Corner Canyon 45, Herriman 24
Corner Canyon set the tone early in their matchup with Herriman as Tate Kjar hauled in two touchdowns in the first quarter, giving them a 14-7 lead. Herriman displayed their determination in the second quarter, with a 37-yard field goal from Imaj Hagan, narrowing the score to 17-10 at halftime. The third quarter became the turning point of the game, as Corner Canyon unleashed a scoring frenzy. Bryton Brady’s 5-yard run, Isaac Wilson’s 15-yard touchdown run, and Kash Dillon’s 18-yard reception extended the Chargers’ lead. Herriman responded with a 42-yard touchdown pass from Frederick Ta’ai to Noah Malloy, but Corner Canyon maintained their momentum. Roman Caywood’s 19-yard touchdown reception sealed a commanding lead. In the fourth quarter, Herriman added a touchdown, with Ta’ai’s 1-yard run, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Chargers, who secured a 45-24 victory in this thrilling contest.
Bingham 37, Mountain Ridge 27
The Miners came out strong in the first quarter, with Triston Brimhall and Chase Swensen both finding the end zone to give them a 14-0 lead. However, the Sentinels weren’t about to back down. In the second quarter, Wyatt Bingham connected with Kai Meza on a 40-yard pass, putting the Sentinels on the scoreboard. The third quarter saw a resurgence from Mountain Ridge, with Brody Laga nailing a 47-yard field goal and Legend Glasker catching a 37-yard touchdown pass from Bingham. The Miners’ lead had been trimmed, with Mountain Ridge closed all the way back to a 20-20 tie. However, Bingham wasn’t done. In the final quarter, they rallied with a 27-yard field goal from Kole Francom, a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown by Bode Pedersen, and a 51-yard rushing touchdown by Chase Swensen. The game ended with the Bingham Miners securing a 37-27 victory in a high-scoring, action-packed battle.
Riverton 35, Copper Hills 14
The Riverton Silverwolves got off to a blazing start, in the first quarter, Easton Hicks dashed down the field for a remarkable 60-yard run, setting the tone. Shortly after, Derek Ratliff added a 7-yard run for another touchdown. The Silverwolves had a 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Copper Hills, however, wasn’t ready to concede. They fought back in the second quarter, with Kenny Banza scoring a 4-yard run, narrowing the gap. Nevertheless, Riverton wasn’t about to let their first win slip away. Easton Hicks recorded an 18-yard run in the second quarter and later added a 47-yard run in the fourth quarter. Along with Andrew Nielson’s 1-yard run in the third quarter, the Silverwolves secured a 35-14 victory, marking their first win of the season in a game filled with impressive rushes and touchdowns.
Region 3
American Fork 34, Skyridge 27
The American Fork Cavemen clinched the outright Region 3 title with a thrilling 34-27 overtime victory against the Skyridge Falcons. The decisive score came from a 25-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Dylan Story to Davis Andrews in the overtime period. Before the winning touchdown, the Falcons managed to tie the game at 27-all just before the end of regulation time with a 7-yard pass from Jackson Stevens to Trent Call, their second connection of the night. Despite trailing in the first quarter, the Falcons stayed competitive throughout the matchup largely through the efforts of quarterback Jackson Stevens who threw for three touchdowns. Ultimately the Cavemen defense was able to hold Skyridge out of the endzone during overtime to secure the win.
























Lone Peak 28, Westlake 13
The Lone Peak Knights claimed victory over the Westlake Thunder with a score of 28-13. Tight end Trey Robinson caught three touchdown passes from quarterback Jackson Blake, helping the Knights build a comfortable lead. Although Westlake’s Aiden Bayless started off strong with a 60-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, the Thunder failed to score again until the final minute of the fourth quarter. The Knights’ defense, including a safety in the second quarter, played a significant role in securing their victory.
Lehi 35, Pleasant Grove 28
In a high-scoring clash between two Region 3 powerhouses, the Lehi Pioneers secured a 35-28 victory over the Pleasant Grove Vikings. Lehi managed to rally from a 21-14 first quarter deficit, with Kolose Latu running in three touchdowns, including a decisive 3-yard run with 1:53 remaining in the 4th quarter. Jett Niu, the Pioneers’ quarterback, also played a significant role with two touchdown passes in the first quarter. For the Vikings, Tualau Wolfgramm stood out, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter, including a 30-yard interception return, and a 12-yard run in the third quarter, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the surging Pioneers.
Region 4
West Jordan 14, Taylorsville 3
In a defensive showdown during Week 10, the West Jordan Jaguars secured a hard-fought 14-3 victory over the Taylorsville Warriors. The game’s pivotal moment came in the fourth quarter when Cody Johnson powered through for a 2-yard touchdown run, extending West Jordan’s lead and ultimately sealing the win. Earlier in the contest, Tevita Makaafi’s 4-yard run in the first quarter put the Jaguars on the board. Taylorsville’s Brayden Chacon contributed the Warriors’ sole points with a 34-yard field goal in the third quarter. The Jaguars’ strong defensive performance and crucial late-game touchdown highlighted their resilience on the road.
Kearns 54, Cyprus 18
In a Week 10 clash, the Kearns Cougars dominated the Cyprus Pirates with a commanding 54-18 victory. Kearns asserted their dominance early, with Marley Sio’s 37-yard punt return and Lamoni Matua’s 65-yard reception from Bryce Benson, establishing a 21-0 lead in the first quarter. The Cougars continued their impressive offensive showing, extending the lead to 41-0 by halftime. Cyprus showed signs of life in the fourth quarter, with Skyler Armenta connecting with Brock Langford for a 27-yard touchdown and later adding a 39-yard pass, but Kearns’ lead proved insurmountable. The Cougars’ multifaceted offensive attack, including Kymani Fauatea and Teki Finau’s impressive runs, secured the decisive victory.
Granger 56, Hunter 0
The Granger Lancers dominated their Week 10 high school football game, delivering a 56-0 shutout to defeat the Hunter Wolverines. The Lancers commanded the first half, racking up an impressive 49 points, with Carson Su’esu’e playing a pivotal role, scoring two rushing touchdowns and passing for four more. Two of those pass touchdowns were made to Johvian Ki, with passes of 4-yards and 34-yards. Lancers’ Jordan Tu’uao also contributed two rushing touchdowns and received one for an 8-yard score.






























Region 5
Box Elder 35, Bonneville 6
The Box Elder Bees trounced the Bonneville Lakers with a final score of 35-6. The Bees dominated the game from the offset, with 14 points in each of the first two quarters. Damon Rodriguez led Box Elder with two crucial touchdowns, a 1-yard finish at 5:37 in the first quarter and a 13-yard run in the third. Ryan Griffin notably contributed, passing for a 43-yard touchdown to Cayden Anderson and running for a 1-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Despite a fourth-quarter touchdown from Bonneville’s Ashton Archuleta, the Lakers couldn’t turn the tide against the efficient Bees’ offense.
Bountiful 24, Woods Cross 17
In a closely contested battle, the Bountiful Redhawks secured a hard-fought 24-17 victory over the Woods Cross Wildcats during Week 10. The decisive moment came with just 4:42 remaining in the fourth quarter when Bountiful’s Emerson Geilman connected with Brandon Wilkinson on a stunning 67-yard pass, putting the Redhawks ahead. Bountiful’s Siaki Fekitoa had set the tone earlier with a 4-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Despite Woods Cross responding with scores from Isaac Johnson’s 11-yard run and Charlie Coat’s 4-yard score, Bountiful’s late-game heroics secured their victory on the road.
Roy 49, Northridge 14
In a dominant performance, the Roy Royals secured a decisive 49-14 victory over the Northridge Knights during Week 9. The key moment came early in the first quarter when Joseph Cariaga III connected with Corben Schuffenhauer on a 25-yard pass, setting the tone for Roy’s offensive onslaught. Viewmont 46, Clearfield 18
The Viewmont Vikings earned a dominant 46-18 victory over the Clearfield Falcons. Viewmont had a strong passing game with Daren Tovey ending the night with four touchdown passes. Clearfield ends its struggling season 0-10 while Viewmont improved to 4-6.
Region 6
West 31, Brighton 24
The West Panthers captured the outright Region 6 championship with a thrilling come-from-behind 31-24 victory over the Brighton Bengals. Brighton started strong with a 21-7 lead by halftime, but the resilient Panthers clawed their way back and took control of the game in the second half. Quarterback Isaiah SueSue linked up with Kamden Lopati and Chachi Pan for two crucial touchdowns, and Kelvin Malepeai secured the win with a 2-yard run with only 1:06 left in the game. Both teams will have high expectations for playoff success, with the schedule being announced on Saturday.
East 25, Highland 7
In Wednesday’s regular season finale, the East Leopards defended their turf successfully, securing a 25-7 victory over the Highland Rams in Region 6 action. The Leopards jumped out first with a 26-yard run touchdown by Michael Nunu Fonua and a fumble recovery by Atunaisa Puletau. Trailing 13-0 at the half, the Rams responded when Charlie Hodge connected a 32-yard pass to Grant Starks for a touchdown cutting the deficit to 13-7. However, the Leopards sealed their win in the fourth quarter with a pair of touchdowns from John Amone and Tucker McCormick. The teams will turn their attention to the 5A playoffs, with the schedule being announced this Saturday.
Olympus 48, Skyline 0
In a one-sided affair, the Olympus Titans dominated the Skyline Eagles with a resounding 48-0 victory. The Titans showcased their offensive firepower early on, with key plays including a 29-yard touchdown pass from Chase Moseley to Caden Lloyd and a 61-yard interception return for a touchdown by Luke Bryant. Moseley continued to excel, connecting with Ty Seagle and Luke Bryant for additional touchdown passes. The Olympus defense remained stout, culminating in a shutout performance against the Eagles. Olympus now leads the all-time series with skyline 29-28-1.
Region 8
Timpanogos 42, Spanish Fork 34
The Timpanogos Timberwolves edged the Spanish Fork Dons 42-34, ending their season as the number two team in Region 8. The Timberwolves’ quarterback Chase Riggs threw three touchdowns, with Gabriel Graf catching two of Riggs’ touchdown passes. Spanish Fork stayed competitive throughout the game, entering the last quarter with a slim 34-35 deficit, but failed to score in the final period. This game concludes the Timberwolves’ regular season with an 8-2 record.
Payson 17, Uintah 12
The Payson Lions narrowly beat the Uintah Utes 17-12. Payson trailed 10-12 with nine minutes left in the game. With four minutes left Payson’s Payden Sorensen punched in a one-yard run which secured the lead for the Lions. The win kept Payson at an even 5-5 record while Uintah fell to 2-8.
Provo 42, Mountain View 14
The Provo Bulldogs dominated the Mountain View Bruins 42-14. Provo got ahead to an early 21-0 first quarter lead which Mountain View never recovered from. Bulldogs’ Soakai Aston found Kyle Larsen in the endzone twice in the win. The win secured the Region 8 title for Provo, who ended region play with a perfect 6-0 record.
Region 9
Desert Hills 42, Cedar City 19
Desert Hills (4-4) took the win against Cedar (3-5) with a 42-19 rout, scoring twice in the fourth quarter to stave off a comeback attempt by the Reds. Tytan Mason was the standout player for the Thunder, scoring four touchdowns with his longest being a 64-yard run in the third quarter. Meanwhile, Jonathan Jeter from the Reds managed two touchdown receptions from passes by Everett Kelling, one of them a 38-yard reception in the second quarter. Despite Cedar City’s Tredyn Elliott’s 95-yard kick return touchdown in the third quarter, it wasn’t enough to stave off the Thunder’s strong performance.
Snow Canyon 27, Pine View 10
In a Week 10 showdown in St. George, Snow Canyon (7-3) pulled off a 27-10 win against Pine View (3-6) in a football game that witnessed two interception returns for touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Bryce Barnes of the Warriors shined with a 5-yard run touchdown in the second quarter, giving Snow Canyon a 14-3 lead at halftime. Pine View’s attempt at a comeback late in the fourth quarter was thwarted when Ryder Holt and Makaio Swensen of the Warriors ran 80- and 95-yard interception returns for touchdowns. Pine View’s statistical highlight came early in the game with a 30-yard field goal from Kimball Swift, followed by a 7-yard touchdown pass from Adam Moore to Mohe Tonga late in the fourth quarter.
Crimson Cliffs 56, Dixie 14
In Week 10 of the high school football season, Crimson Cliffs (8-1) scored a resounding 56-14 victory over the Dixie Flyers (4-5), claiming sole possession of the Region 9 title this season. The Mustangs quarterback Steele Barben had an instrumental performance with four touchdown passes in the game. Further adding to Dixie’s woes were defensive scores from Crimson Cliff’s Rowan Williams with a 10-yard interception return and McKay Wright’s 20-yard fumble recovery, both in the first quarter. Despite a 2-yard touchdown run by Ran Sawyer and a 10-yard score from Wyatt Truman to Jaxon Barben, the Flyers couldn’t offset the Mustangs’ prolific offense.
Region 10
Cottonwood 32, Murray 16
Completing its first two-game winning streak since 2021, Cottonwood (2-8) rounded off a solid performance with a 32-16 victory against Murray (1-9) in a game characterized by strong rushing and defensive play. Cottonwood’s scoring highlights included rush TDs from Sunia Fifita, Roman Israyelyan, and Robbie Jensen. Furthermore, Dominic Chidester, also from Cottonwood, had a defining moment with a 45-yard interception return in the first quarter. Despite a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Lucas Barrett and a 12-yard run by Tyler Wightman in the last period, Murray could not overcome the deficit.
Jordan 14, Hillcrest 13
In the Week 10 football contest, Jordan (3-6) managed a tighter-than-expected 14-13 victory against Hillcrest (1-9). Jakarin Owens was the mainstay for the Beetdiggers, running in both their touchdowns, including the pivotal 2-yard score in the waning moments of the fourth quarter. Hillcrest initially led the scoreboard with touchdowns from Steven Hoskins and Marcus Sollers, but the tally in the end just fell short in the low-scoring encounter.
Stansbury 41, Tooele 27
The Stansbury Stallions ended the regular season with a 41-27 victory over the Tooele Buffaloes. Stansbury’s offense opened the game with a 14-0 lead, which it maintained throughout the game. Stallions’ Coleman Dearden had two touchdown passes in the win while Tyson Ferry ended the night with two rushing touchdowns. With the win, Stansbury end its regular season with a 6-4 record.
3A North
Ben Lomond 21, Ogden 7
In the last game of the regular season, Ben Lomond secured its first winning record for the first time since 2000 by defeating Ogden 21-7 in the Battle of the Iron Horse. It was a tight defense game on both sides, but a pair of Manase Tuatagaloa touchdown passes and then a critical Pick Six from Jake East helped the Scots secure the win. Jaxon Watson Watson hauled in a 31-yard TD pass in the first quarter, and then Hunter Christensen exted the lead to 14-0 late in the third quarter. Exactly one minute later, East returned an interception 21 yards to put the game out of reach. Ogden only found the end zone in the fourth quarter with a 60-yard run from Max Trujillo. Despite losing the game, Ogden continues to lead the all-time series between these teams at 53-23.
Juan Diego 32, Grantsville 31
In an intense overtime showdown, the Juan Diego Soaring Eagles triumphed over the Grantsville Cowboys with a tally of 32-31. The key moment came when second year head coach Ron James decided to try a two-point conversion for his team’s final points in overtime, a run by Antonio Archuleta that secured the win. Earlier, Archuleta also demonstrated remarkable skill as he scored 2 touchdowns on 74 and 38-yard runs in 1st and 2nd quarters, respectively. Grantsville had a remarkable third quarter with three touchdowns, two from Dallen Van Vliet’s runs on 6 and 29 yards and a pass to Payton Yates. Despite a challenging game, Juan Diego pulled off an impressive win against their evenly matched opponent.
Morgan 62, Union 7
The Morgan Trojans secured an outright 3A North title with a soaring 62-7 victory over Union Cougars. The Trojans showed incredible versatility as six different players caught touchdown passes, and Zak Sargent, Jett Salmon, and Beck Sheffield contributed a rushing touchdown each. While Union managed to put points on the board early in the first quarter with a 59-yard pass from Gannon Labrum to Jacob Sasser, they were unable to score again against the robust Trojans’ defense. This victory was marked by the Trojans’ exceptional offensive blend, disconnecting the Cougars’ hopes for a win.
3A South
Richfield 48, North Sanpete 14
The undefeated Richfield Wildcats toppled North Sanpete 48-14 in the regular season finale on Wednesday. The teams will now await the state tournament pairings this Saturda to learn their playoff fate. Reggie Hafen had a great game for the Templars scoring on a six-yard run in the first quarter, then throwing a 16-yard pass to Malik Fautin for another touchdown in the second quarter. Gage Yardley scored on a scoop-and-score in the first half as five different players scored touchdowns in the win for the Wildcats.
Canyon View 56, Carbon 7
Canyon View dominated the Carbon Dinos in a high-scoring regular season finale, rolling 56-7. Canyon View did all the damage early, building a 49-0 halftime lead en rout to the lopside win. Falcons’ star players were the dual threats of Bubba Ludlow and Jaxon Jensen. Ludlow contributed three touchdowns including a 65-yard pass from Jensen, a 75-yard punt return, and a 3-yard pass again from Jensen. Meanwhile, Jensen tossed four touchdown passes. With this victory Canyon View heads into the playoffs with an 8-2 record, while the Dinos fell to 1-9 for the season.
Manti 35, Juab 17
The Manti Templars rallied to overtake the Juab Wasps with a final score of 35-17. After trailing 7-14 at halftime, Manti turned the momentum, putting two touchdowns on the board in both the third and fourth quarters. A key play came in the third quarter when Maison Starkweather connected with Bo Stevens for a 19-yard touchdown, bringing the score to 21-17 in favor of the Templars. Starkweather went on to throw two more touchdown passes in the final quarter, sealing Manti’s victory.
2A North
Judge Memorial 67, American Leadership 49
In a game that ranks in the top 25 for highest-scoring in state history. Judge Memorial outlasted American Leadership 67-49 in a wild, high-scoring affair on Oct 12, 2023. The game saw impressive individual performances on both sides. For the Bulldogs, Thomas Gutierezz had an exceptional game as both a runner and a passer, scoring four rushing touchdowns and throwing four touchdown passes, with his 72-yard pass to Henry Thompson and 16-yard pass to King Long standing out. Thompson also pulled in another 30-yard pass from Gutierezz for a touchdown, while Tyrese Boyce racked up two rushing touchdowns including a notable 63-yard run. On the Eagles’ side, Kannon Huntsman was instrumental with four rushing touchdowns and 42-yard touchdown reception, while quarterback Nico Marble threw for two touchdowns, connecting with Noah Swarnes on a standout 61-yard pass and Chris Marble on a 42-yard pass.
South Summit 45, Providence Hall 0
The South Summit Wildcats capitalized on a comprehensive victory over the Patriots of Providence Hall, securing the 2A North title with a dominant 45-0 win. Quarterback Bracken Lassche led the Wildcats’ charge, connecting on four touchdown passes to three different receivers: Stratton Stevens (two touchdowns), Daunte Mikhailov, and Brandon Mora. His first touchdown, a 25-yard pass to Mikhailov, occurred with 1:54 left in the 1st quarter, paving the way for the Wildcats’ dominant display. Remarkably, the Patriots failed to score any points, reflecting strong defensive play from South Summit. Kaden Hunter made a significant contribution with a 45-yard interception returned for a touchdown in the third quarter, while Trey Stembridge added to the scoreline with a 35-yard run.
Layton Christian 35, Summit Academy 26
Summit Academy and Layton Christian clashed in a spirited game that saw both teams fiercely competing. In the first quarter, Summit Academy took an early lead, with Josh Morrill’s 5-yard run and a touchdown pass from Kyan Anderson to Aden Stines. Layton Christian swiftly responded with Marcus Miles’ rushing touchdown, closing the gap. However, the second quarter was all about Layton Christian, as they scored three touchdowns, including Miles’ impressive performance, showcasing his versatility with both passing and rushing touchdowns. Summit Academy rallied in the fourth quarter, with two touchdown passes from Kyan Anderson to Aden Stines, but it wasn’t enough to secure a comeback. Layton Christian held on to their lead, winning the game 35-26 in a hard-fought contest.
2A South
Grand 27, South Sevier 26
Austin Paris’ monster performance led the Red Devils to a victory over the South Sevier Rams. After the two teams split touchdowns in the first quarter, JT Dowd was able to find the endzone twice in the second, including hauling in a touchdown pass from Paris as time expired. South Sevier rallied with two scores of their own, but a missed extra point left them a point short heading into the quarter. On the first play of the fourth quarter, Dowd scored for the third time, Grand opted to go-for-two and push the lead to two scores, but the attempt failed leaving the door open for the Rams. Cannon Barney and Trevor Jenkins connected with just over one minute left, but Paris was able to get his hand on the ensuing PAT, sealing the road win for the Devils.
Emery 37, Delta 27
The Emery Spartans managed to rally a win against the Delta Rabbits with a final score of 37-27. The Rabbits started strong in the first quarter, leading 13-6, but the Spartans flipped the momentum and scored relentlessly over the next two quarters. The Spartans’ Wade Stilson threw a crucial 30-yard touchdown pass to Creek Sharp late in the fourth quarter, sealing their victory. Despite the loss, Delta’s Kadance Lovell had an impressive game with a 60-yard touchdown catch and a 70-yard run, both resulting in touchdowns.
1A North
Duchesne 19, North Summit 0
The Duchesne Eagles (9-1) throttled North Summit (6-4) 19-0 in a regular-season finale at North Summit. The Eagles’ built a 13-0 halftime lead and then added to its lead with a Jeshaun Johnson 31-yard interception return in the third quarter to break the Braves spirits. Nashden Goodliffe scored on a 21-yard TD pass from Parker Crum in the second quarter, and then Brody Jacobs added an 11-yard TD run less than two minutes later.
Millard 45, Gunnison Valley 11
In the first quarter in a matchup against the Gunnison Bulldogs, Millard jumped ahead as Sam Rasmussen embarked on a 30-yard run, although they missed the ensuing kick. Gunnison Valley managed to get on the board during the second quarter with Tyson Tucker’s precise 35-yard field goal. The Eagles soared in the second quarter, scoring 20 points. Kaden Turner found Casey Boothe with a 10-yard pass for a touchdown, and Erick Gutierrez capitalized on a blocked kick to add another touchdown. Connor Stevens added to the tally with a spectacular 50-yard interception return.
