Utah continues to creep closer to being a top 10 team again ahead of the program’s next big game.

The Utes are ranked No. 13 in the latest Associated Press poll and No. 13 in the coaches poll, which were released Sunday.

This comes after Utah beat USC 34-32 at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in a game that lived up to the billing of two top 20 programs fighting to stay alive in the Pac-12 race.

Up next for the Utes is Oregon, a 38-24 winner over Washington State. The Ducks moved up to No. 8 in the AP poll and No. 9 in the coaches poll.

How big is the Utah-Oregon game? “College GameDay” is returning to Salt Lake City for the first time in seven years for the contest.

While BYU, a 27-14 winner over Texas Tech on Saturday, isn’t receiving votes in either major poll, the Cougars’ next opponent is a top 10 team.

Texas, fresh off a 31-24 win over Houston, will be No. 7 in both polls when the Longhorns host BYU next weekend.
