On Tuesday night, Fox News spoke to Republican Reps. James Comer, R-Ky., and Chip Roy, R-Texas, on the House of Representatives moving forward following the removal of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, and MSNBC spoke to Democratic Rep. Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., on the same issue.

Fox News — Will the House adjourn without a speaker?

Tuesday night on “Hannity,” Comer and Roy spoke to Sean Hannity on McCarthy being removed from his position.

Roy told Hannity that the Republicans in the House's main issue is that “the Democratic Party has no interest in working with us to solve any of the problems the American people are facing.”

“They don’t want to deal with any of the pressing issues of the day,” Roy added. “So, it is left to us to govern. It is left to the 221 of us to figure out how to get it done.”

Roy said he doesn’t believe the House should adjourn at such a time when the American people need resolutions on issues like border control, high crime rates and drug issues.

“In the end, this could be fine. I’m not doom and gloom here,” Hannity said. “However, the American people’s patience is going to run out quick. So I don't think you guys have a lot of time.”

Hannity emphasized that the House should not adjourn until a speaker of the House has been appointed, “This time next week if I invite you back, will we have a new speaker?”

“Yes,” Comer said.

“I certainly hope so,” Roy said.

O’Donnell referred to the action of eight House Republicans who voted to remove McCarthy from his position as “poetic justice.”

“For the first time in history, a speaker was removed by a motion to vacate,” O’Donnell said.

He then shared a clip of McCarthy, who said he would not run for speaker again. O’Donnell said that House Republicans will need to assign a new speaker by Wednesday of next week.

“It looks as if we are now confronted with a conference that’s trying to run the entire House of Representatives that’s divided against itself,” Clyburn said.

Clyburn said he hopes that Republicans can get their act together by the end of next week “because the country is looking to us for leadership. The country needs stability around the world and within our borders, and we are to be providing it in a bipartisan way.”
