SALT LAKE CITY — He’s real, and he’s spectacular. Comedian/writer/coffee-lover Jerry Seinfeld is in Utah this weekend, where he’ll be making jokes at Abravanel Hall for one night only.
If you can’t get tickets, say a quick “serenity now” and check out these other weekend events happening in and around Salt Lake, including Odyssey Dance Theatre’s “Thriller,” Glow Yoga at the Rose Wagner, Vampire Weekend at the Complex and “Ghostbusters” at select Cinemark theaters.
‘Thriller’
Odyssey Dance Theatre’s popular “Thriller” show is back for another year. Over the next month, “Thriller” will come to a number of different performance halls throughout Utah. This weekend, the show concludes its Park City performances at the historic Egyptian Theatre. Oct. 4-5, 7:30 p.m.; Oct. 5, 3 p.m.; Oct. 6, 6 p.m., Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main, Park City, $23-$40 (435-649-9371 or odysseydance.com/shows/thriller)

Glow Yoga
Maybe normal yoga just isn’t quite colorful enough for you. If so, head to the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center this weekend. The venue will host multiple sessions of “Glow Yoga” — with black lights, body paint, and music. It’s a BYOYM (bring your own yoga mat) event. Oct. 4-5, 8 p.m.; Oct. 5, 5 p.m.; Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, 138 W. Broadway, $20, (arttix.artsalt.org)
Jerry Seinfeld
He did stand-up for years, then a really popular sitcom, then some Netflix show about coffee, yada yada yada, now he’s here. The comedy legend comes to Abravanel Hall for a night of iconic observational humor. Oct. 5, 7:30 p.m., Maurice Abravanel Hall, 123 W. South Temple, tickets sold out through primary outlets, check secondary vendors (artsaltlake.org)
Vampire Weekend
They’ve been hailed as “the last great indie-rock band.” An interesting (and maybe dubious) moniker, no doubt. Regardless, Vampire Weekend’s new album “Father of the Bride” has gotten strong reviews since its release in May. The band’s tour comes to the Complex on Sunday. Oct. 6, 6:45 p.m., The Complex, 536 W. 100 South, $59.50 (smithstix.com, showclix.com).
‘Ghostbusters’ 35th Anniversary
Name a more iconic quartet (besides the Beatles). Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson became forever linked 35 years ago when “Ghostbusters” premiered. To celebrate the anniversary, the film returns to select Cinemark theaters. (These special screenings include some rarely seen alternate takes, too.) Oct. 6, 4 and 7 p.m., select Cinemark Theatres, $12.50 (fathomevents.com)
