A new image for the next “Star Wars Insider” magazine shows off a brand new look for Kylo Ren.

What’s it looks like: The magazine cover, which you can see below, shows Ren wearing his traditional black and silver mask with lines of red spreading throughout it. The lines of red appear meld together the mask, which was destroyed by Ren in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” Ren stands on the cover with stormtroopers and his fellow Knights of Ren, which were mentioned in previous films and will likely make their debut in “Rise of Skywalker.” The poster also includes TIE fighters and other ships from the First Order’s army.

What’s interesting: The poster has a dark side tie to it because of Ren, his knights, the stormtroopers and the TIE fighters. But the poster is overwhelmingly bright with an orange and red background and a glowing sun behind Ren.

Kylo Ren’s backstory will be revealed in the new Marvel Comics series, “The Rise of Kylo Ren,” which will hit stores on Dec. 4. Writer Charles Soule said the comic will explain how Ben Solo became Kylo Ren, going “from Ben to Ren.”

  • “You know, Ben Solo is tragic,” Soule said, according to CBR. “The potential of him from the day he was born, everyone around him saw or thought they saw what he could be. So he was put in all these different paths, and we’ve kind of seen how that’s gone wrong in the films so far. This is a story about Ben Solo, understanding some of the choices he made.”
