A new report suggest Christian Bale, widely known for his role as Batman, is in talks to appear in “Thor: Love and Thunder.”
Wha’s going on: A new report from Collider suggests Bale will appear in “Thor: Love and Thunder,” which would be Bale’s first superhero film since he starred in “The Dark Knight Rises” in 2012.
- Bale’s role has not been explained yet and his role is “being kept under wraps,” per Collider.
- Marvel, Bale and WME Agency did not comment on the story.
Returns: The film will see a number of returns to the superhero genre.
- Tessa Thompson will return to play Valkyrie.
- Natalie Portman will return to the “Thor” franchise to play Jane Foster, who will become Thor in the film (something that happened in the comics).
- Director Taika Waititi will return to play Korg.
Flashback: In 2017, Bale said he didn’t have any interest in returning to the superhero genre, according to Cinemablend.
“No, I’m not interested in doing that. I’ve never seen — I’m trying to think if that’s correct, I think I’m actually correct, I can’t remember a single superhero film that I’ve ever watched. Apart from the ones I made and like, the Christopher Reeve ‘Superman’ films.”
