Walt Disney Company will be developing a new live-action film based around the “Space Mountain” ride, once again bringing one of its rides to the big screen, Variety reports.

  • Joby Harold — who worked on “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” will write the script.
  • Harold is also writing and directing the Obi-Wan Kenobi “Star Wars” project. And he worked on the third “John Wick” film.

The ride opened up in 1975 at Walt Disney World as a follow-up ride to the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland. It was added to Disneyland in 1977, according to Variety.
