Jeremy Bulloch — the original Boba Fett actor in the original “Star Wars” trilogy — passed away Thursday at age 75.

  • His death was confirmed in a statement on his website.
  • Bulloch had spent the last few weeks at St George’s Hospital in Tooting, London. He reportedly had health complications, including Parkinson’s disease.

The British actor rose to fame with several roles, including spots on “Doctor Who” and three James Bond films. He became a “Star Wars” legend, though, for protraying Boba Fett in “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi.”

Bulloch once said he based his performance as Fett on Clint Eastwood, of all people, according to StarWars.com.

  • “I thought of Boba Fett as Clint Eastwood in a suit of armor,” he said.

“Star Wars” creator George Lucas reacted to Bulloch’s death in a statement to StarWars.com.

  • “Jeremy brought the perfect combination of mystery and menace to his performance of Boba Fett, which is just what I wanted the character to convey,” says Lucas. “In addition, Jeremy was a true gentleman who was very supportive of ‘Star Wars’ and its fans, and I’m very grateful for his contributions to the saga and its legacy.”
