According to ComicBook.com, Sony already has a list of films on the way, including:
- A sequel to “Spider-Man: Far From Home” on July 16, 2021.
- “Venom 2” on Oct. 2, 2020.
- “Morbius” on July 31, 2020.
Is it the Sinister Six movie?
- There’s been ongoing rumors that Sony is planning a Sinister Six movie, which would be a collaborative film of all major Spider-Man villains, including Venom, the Green Goblin and Vulture. As ScreenRant reported, the Vulture cameo in the Morbius trailer hints that Sony may be building toward a Sinister Six film.
- “Spider-Man: Homecoming” included cameos of Scorpion and Shocker — two villains from the Spider-Man universe who become members of the Sinister Six at some point in the Marvel comics canon, according to Screen Rant.
- Scorpion’s cameo at the end of “Homecoming” might be the biggest clue. Per ScreenRant: “According to the Scorpion, there are quite a few people who want revenge on Spider-Man. Vulture doesn’t seem interested at the time, but Scorpion at least is presented as a possible future member of the Sinister Six.”
