Vin Diesel and Eiza Gonzales appeared on Thursday night’s episode of “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”
While Billboard reports the co-stars were there to promote their upcoming movie “Bloodshot,” and they did talk about the movie a little, Diesel dropped an even bigger bombshell: He’s recording an original album.
“I think music is a huge part of making movies, and I think it sets the mood,” Diesel tells Corden, speaking of his lifelong love of music and past as a street performer.
Then Corden asked the “Fast and Furious” actor if he could possibly have an album in the works, surprisingly, Diesel jumped off the couch with excitement, yelling “Yes there is!”
Diesel said he was inspired to make the album so he could have a way to share music with his kids, who he says love to hear him sing.
Then Corden even hinted that there could be a Carpool Karaoke in the works for the two of them — perhaps even at high speeds in a “Fast and Furious” car.
This isn’t the first time Diesel’s made news for his musical talent, as back in 2013 a cover of him singing Rihanna’s “Stay” as a Valentine’s Day tribute to his girlfriend went viral, Mic reports.
He also sang a part of Charlie Puth’s “See You Again,” as a tribute to his late “Fast and Furious” co-star Paul Walker at the MTV Movie Awards in 2015.
And finally, just this year he posted a cover of Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” on his Instagram as another Valentine’s Day tribute, complete with a dramatic music video.
