A refresher on ‘The High Republic’

Back in February, Lucasfilm announced a new campaign of books and comic books for “Star Wars” fans called “The High Republic.”

The novels and comic books will be set in an era 200 years before the prequel trilogy. It will reportedly show the Jedi Knights during their prime years before they became political and dogmatic, as seen in those prequel films.

“The High Republic” will not cross over with any TV series or movies.

Jedi Knights will be like the knights of the roundtable and like cowboys of the Old West. They will come from multiple backgrounds, including humanoids, wookies and more, as I wrote for the Deseret News.

The villains will likely be outlaws on the border of the Republic akin to space vikings.
