The DJ for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Stephen “tWitch” Boss, has spoken out about the allegations of a toxic work environment on set, according to USA Today.
Boss told Us Weekly on Tuesday that he “can’t speak too much legally” about the controversy, which has led to a workplace investigation of the show.
“Obviously there’s some things to address, but from my standpoint and from countless others, there’s been love,” Boss said, according to Us Weekly. “I’ll just leave it at that until there’s a time where we can address more publicly. There’s been love and there will continue to be love.”
In another recent interview with E! News, Boss said that he feels “blessed” to work for the “Ellen” show.
“You know, there hasn’t been too many gigs where you feel it every day and build a genuine love from front to back,” Boss told E! News. “And the audience, being so happy to be there and ready to dance and ready to laugh and have a good time.”
Boss has been the show’s DJ since 2014, according to Entertainment Weekly. His predecessor, Tony Okungbowa, worked on “Ellen” for almost a decade before leaving in 2013.
Okungbowa has also spoken out about the recent employee allegations of mistreatment and toxicity on the set, sharing his thoughts on Instagram earlier this month, according to EW.
“While I am grateful for the opportunity it afforded me, I did experience and feel the toxicity of the environment and I stand with my former colleagues in their quest to create a healthier and more inclusive workplace as the show moves forward,” Okungbowa wrote on Instagram.
In a BuzzFeed report in July, both current and former employees of the show claimed to have experienced racism and harassment on set. WarnerMedia launched an investigation of the show and DeGeneres issued a letter of apology to her staff, as the Deseret News previously reported.
A number of celebrities have come forward to defend DeGeneres, including Katy Perry, Jay Leno, and Ashton Kutcher, according to the Deseret News.
