Amazon has sent a new email to customers who preordered the PlayStaton 5, saying gamers might not receive the new console on time, The Verge reports.
What’s going on?
PlayStation 5 preorders made headlines for being somewhat of a calamity since the option to order became available before the console’s price and release date were official.
Amazon sent out an email to those who preordered the console — both the regular and digital edition ones — that the system might not arrive on Nov. 12 (the day of release).
- “We’re contacting you about your order of PlayStation 5 to let you know in advance that you may not receive this item on the day it is released due to high demand,” the email says, according to The Verge. “We’ll make every effort to get the item to you as soon as possible once released.”
The Verge reports Amazon likely sent this email because it is unclear how many units it will receive before launch.
