Post Malone leads all artists with 16 nominations for the Billboard Music Awards, which will take place in October.

Post Malone has been nominated for top artist, top male artist and top Billboard 200 artist, among other awards.

  • He’s also a double nominee in the top rap song category.

The thing is — that’s not even his own personal record. He notched 17 nominations in 2019 for his own personal best.

Post Malone’s latest album — “Hollywood’s Bleeding” — debuted on the Billboard 200 chart and never dropped off. It’s been in the top 20 for the entire year of its release.

  • “The album was so hot, it generated more streams than any other album in the U.S. in 2019, with over 3 billion audio on-demand streams earned for its songs that year,” Billboard said in a release to the Deseret News.

The song “Circles” hit No. 1 on the Hot 110 in November 2019 and stayed in the top 10 until May 2020.

Post Malone talks about Utah:

Malone appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast in July, sporting a University of Utah hat. He talked about his decision to move to Utah, too, which I wrote about for Deseret.com.

“It’s incredible,” Malone said. “And it’s free.”

He said Utah is great for making music because “you feel like you’re a part of something bigger but you’re so insignificant. You can just say, I accept everything around me and I’m relaxed and I’m at peace, knowing that ... the world’s spinning around you and everything happens for a reason.”
