A batch of new “Star Wars” rumors dropped over the weekend, and several of them surround Ahsoka Tano, “Star Wars Rebels” and what’s to come in the near future of the space opera franchise.
What happened:
Kessell Run Transmissions — one of the largest “Star Wars” YouTube channels — shared new “Star Wars” rumors floating about Lucasfilm.
- Of course, none of these rumors had confirmation from Disney or Lucasfilm. But the rumors have often proved to be close to accurate or at least floated ideas that are taken into consideration.
Here’s a quick rundown of the rumors from the Kessell Run Transmissions video (you can read more about them at the Star Wars Leaks Reddit page.
- The new “Ahsoka” series is a “Rebels” sister or successor series.
- Sabine Wren from “Rebels” will appear in “Ahsoka”
- A “Rebels” sequel series was being developed before plans shifted toward “Ahsoka.”
- “Ahsoka” series will use some scripts from “Rebels” sequel series.
- “Ahsoka” will center around search for Ezra (main character in “Rebels”) and Grand Admiral Thrawn.
- “The Mandalorian” stories — like “Ahsoka,” “Rangers of the New Republic” and “Book of Boba Fett” will run into the mid-2020s.
