Avengers Campus — what you’ll really find there

We cut through the noise to explain what’s at Disneyland’s Avengers Campus

When trouble ensues at Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park, out of nowhere Earth’s mightiest heroes arrive to save the day. Guests may see Black Widow, Black Panther or Captain America spring into action, heading off the threat from these foes.

Avengers Campus is the newest addition to Disney’s California Adventure Park that brings you into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But let me tell you — it’s really confusing to navigate.

You can hear the Avengers music. You can see the Avengers characters. But knowing where to go and what to see can be a struggle, especially if it’s your first time at the location. With so much there, having a quick explanation of what to expect will help you navigate easier.

So, I’m here to break through the noise to explain each of the important aspects of the Avengers Campus area so you know what you’re doing and how to experience the park.

Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure — This is the main attraction of the Avengers Campus. I haven’t ridden the ride, but based on descriptions the experience sounds a lot like Star Tour but for Marvel, with Spider-Man being the focus of the adventure. Getting on this ride requires you to use the virtual queue, just like the “Rise of the Resistance” Star Wars ride.

Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout! — This is the old Tower of Terror ride, where you drop down an entire elevator.

Ancient Sanctum — This “Doctor Strange” location is essentially a big garden that lights up with spectacular colors at night.

Avengers Headquarters — This is a giant building where Avengers characters hang out during the day and fight off Hydra agents. Marvel characters often move by this location and engage with audiences.

Pym Test Kitchen — Want some food? The Pym Test Kitchen offers traditional food items.

Pym Tasting Lab — This is basically a bar with fun Marvel drink names.

Shawarma Palace — Paying homage of the end of “The Avengers” movie, the Shawarma Palace offers, well, shawarma.

Terran Treats — Another food location on the campus to explore when you’re hungry.

The Collector’s Warehouse — This retail shop is located at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout!

WEB Suppliers — This is another clothing and retail location where you can buy Avengers-themed merchandise.

The Avengers Campus also includes a Spider-Man who flies across the area and many other Marvel heroes. More will be added onto this area in the future so check back for more updates.
