After being pushed back nearly two months in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony is now just days away from airing.
Here’s everything you need to know before the show begins:
When it’s happening
- Sunday, March 14 at 6 p.m. MT., according to Today.
- The event will be held in an outdoor section of Los Angeles’ Convention Center, likely in an open plaza known as L.A. Live, according to Variety.
The site reports there won’t be an audience, but a limited number of media members and the nominees will be in attendance.
How to watch
- Live on CBS at 6 p.m. MT.
- Stream on Paramount+ (which is owned by ViacomCBS), YouTubeTV, FuboTV, Hulu with Live TV and AT&T TV Now, according to CNET.
Who’s hosting
- Trevor Noah, the host of “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central, will emcee.
According to IMDb, the upcoming event marks Noah’s first go at emceeing a major awards show, though he has served as an award presenter at major ceremonies in years past.
After his role was initially announced, Noah said a statement (via E! Online):
“Despite the fact that I am extremely disappointed that the Grammys have refused to have me sing or be nominated for best pop album, I am thrilled to be hosting this auspicious event. ... I think as a one-time Grammy nominee, I am the best person to provide a shoulder to all the amazing artists who do not win on the night because I too know the pain of not winning the award! (This is a metaphorical shoulder, I’m not trying to catch Corona.) See you at the 63rd Grammys!”
Who’s nominated
Nominees include Grammy regulars like Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Coldplay and Lady Gaga as well as a few (maybe surprising) newcomers like Harry Styles, Phoebe Bridgers, BTS and The Strokes, according to Stereogum and CNET.
You can read the full list of nominees at the Grammy Awards website.
Who’s performing
According to CNET, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, BTS, Billie Eilish, Bad Bunny, Megan Thee Stallion, Harry Styles, Post Malone and Haim have all agreed to perform at the ceremony. The full slate of performers is listed in an Instagram post from the Recording Academy.
