Comedian Ryan Hamilton, who was set to perform in Salt Lake City this weekend, postponed his show after he was hit by a shuttle.
Hamilton said he had a compound fractured arm that required surgery. He also suffered from seven broken ribs and a punctured collapsed lung.
“I’m not able to fly until cleared by my doctors. Fortunately, my mom was able to drive to be with me, and I am now headed to Idaho with her to recover around family. I’m so grateful to her and many friends for all their help,” he said.
“I understand you may be disappointed, as I am, especially regarding Salt Lake City this weekend,” he wrote. “I know you may have had tickets for close to two years and made plans that are difficult to change. Please know this is a huge blow to me, and I am very sorry for the effects it will have on all of you. I am working hard and looking forward to being back as soon as I can give you the show you deserve.”
Hamilton’s website — which includes tour dates — said that the show has been moved to June 24-25.
“Your tickets and seats will move automatically,” the website reads. “If you had Sat. early show, for example, you will be moved to Sat. early. Refunds are also available until Feb. 25 by calling the box office. Thank you.”
Hamilton recently released his first stand-up special, “Happy Face,” on Netflix. He grew up in rural Idaho before he jumped into the New York comedy scene.
