Awards season is in full swing, which means the spectacle we really care about is underway: the fashion.

Sure, the music Sunday night was nice, but what we’re all here for are the risks, the iconic moments and the near-misses that inevitably follow.

Amid the celebration of talent, the Grammys did not disappoint. There were wins, fails and a few looks that may haunt — or inspire.

Jaden Smith

Jaden Smith graced the red carpet in Louis Vuitton, donning a black tux and — because why not? — a black castle perched atop his head.

The hat, if you can even call it that, was designed by ABODI and dubbed the “Vampire Castle,” according to Vanity Fair.

Is this Smith’s way of dabbling in vampire make-believe, or just another fashion risk we’re all supposed to nod at and pretend to understand?

Chappell Roan

Chappell Roan made a statement in her ballet-core meets drag queen tulle dress. Timeless beauty? Probably not, but unforgettable? Absolutely.

The bold, colorful creation, designed by Jean Paul Gaultier, according to The Cut, will stick with us long after the music fades.

Thank you, Chappell, not just for the musical entertainment, but for the fashion enlightenment we didn’t know we needed — and still probably don’t understand.

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish’s red carpet look — gothic sailor chic — might raise some eyebrows on a night of glitz and glam. But frankly, we think it’s nothing short of the three C’s: cool, classy and confident.

She wore Prada, according to The Cut, like it’s her second skin, and we’re all for her unapologetic personal style.

Who needs conventional when you can have comfort and individuality?

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga arrived in an all-black Vivienne Westwood gown, according to The Cut.

Is it a bit weird? Absolutely. Is it still kind of cool? Also, yes.

She might look like the ruler of Dracula’s castle, but honestly, she runs it with more flair than anyone else could.

Nikki Glaser

Nikki Glaser’s ensemble wasn’t exactly “weird,” but it did resemble something you might hang over a window. A curtain, perhaps?

That’s all we have to say about her fashion choices. That, and maybe the recommendation for her to redecorate.

Troye Sivan

Troye Sivan graced the red carpet in a pool of sheer purple Prada, per Cosmopolitan.

We respect the lavender risk, but the clash of multi-shades among the wrinkles has us wondering if someone forgot to iron the fit before he left.

Still, despite the unfortunate purple mishap, Sivan’s hair was nothing short of fabulous.

Kacey Musgraves

Kacey Musgraves made her Grammy debut in an all-time classic Ralph Lauren look, according to The Cut.

She channeled glamour with a Western twist. But honestly? We’re underwhelmed. The ensemble doesn’t demand a double take — in fact, it doesn’t even spark a first glance. Sometimes, keeping it “classic” simply comes across as “uninspired.”
