Bestselling author John Green has a new book coming out later this year — and his book tour will bring him to Salt Lake City.

Green, who is best known as the author of young adult novels “The Fault in Our Stars” and “Looking for Alaska,” shared the tour schedule on social media Monday. The tour begins Sept. 20 in Toronto, Canada, and ends Oct. 13 in Los Angeles.

Hollywood, Ending,” which will be Green’s first novel in nine years and his first novel for adults, will be released Sept. 22.

When will John Green be in Salt Lake City?

The King’s English Bookshop shared on Monday that Green will be appearing in Salt Lake City as part of the Utah Humanities Book Festival, a monthlong, statewide festival that celebrates authors and literature.

He will be appearing on Oct. 10 at West High School with an as-yet unnamed “special guest” to discuss his new book and answer audience questions.

What is John Green’s new book ‘Hollywood, Ending’ about?

Green is best known for his young adult novels, including the bestselling “The Fault in Our Stars,” which was made into a successful movie in 2014. But “Hollywood, Ending” will be his first foray into adult fiction.

The story will follow two young actors who are cast in a biopic about the artist Andy Warhol as their first big break. The novel’s summary calls it a “behind-the-scenes Hollywood love story” that “juxtaposes the on-screen study of Warhol’s life at the dawn of celebrity culture with the intimate struggles of two young people figuring out who they are, both together and alone.”

“Hollywood, Ending” will be released Sept. 22.
