A missionary’s homecoming went viral and caught the attention of a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
The video shows a sister missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints running through the security exit at Salt Lake International Airport and tackling an awaiting loved one, sending them both to the ground.
The two women laughed and smiled as they stood up and hugged.
The homecoming tackle went viral.
The Instagram account, House of Highlights, recently shared the video with the caption, “Got off her flight like Myles Garrett.”
Garrett, a defensive end for the Los Angeles Rams, saw the post and commented with his own breakdown of the sister missionary’s tackle.
“Near foot, near shoulder. Kept the legs driving. Excellent,” he wrote in the comments.
The 2026 NFL season marks a new chapter for Garrett.
The seven-time Pro Bowler spent the first nine seasons of his NFL career with the Cleveland Browns before he was traded to the Rams in June.
Garrett requested a trade in February 2025, writing in a statement to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport that his goal “has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl.”
Last season, Garrett set the NFL single-season sack record with 23. Hall of Famer Michael Strahan set the record in 2001 with 22.5, and T.J. Watt tied Strahan in 2021. Garrett was named the 2025 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
The Rams play their final preseason game Thursday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
