Steve Young will speak at this year’s RootsTech.
On Monday, FamilySearch announced its lineup of keynote speakers for the upcoming RootsTech 2026, which included Young.
“Steve Young is a great example of balancing success, notoriety and family connection,” RootsTech director Jonathan Wing said in the press release.
RootsTech is referred to as “the world’s largest family discovery event.”
Academy Award-winning actress and author Marlee Matlin and National Geographic explorer Tara Roberts were also announced as keynote speakers.
Young isn’t the first former BYU athlete in recent years to speak at RootsTech.
Jimmer Fredette and his wife, Whitney Fredette, participated in a Q&A session at the RootsTech 2024 ahead of his first Olympics.
