The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the Spanish Fork Utah Temple will be constructed on an 8.7-acre site located at the corner of 100 South and 2550 East in Spanish Fork, Utah.
The temple — one of 32 Latter-day Saint temples in Utah that are currently in operation, under construction/renovation or in planning stages — was first announced in April 2025 general conference and will help serve the Beehive State’s nearly 2.2 million Latter-day Saints.
“Regular worship in the house of the Lord increases our capacity for both virtue and charity,” said the late Church President Russell M. Nelson, just moments before announcing this and 14 other temples. “Thus, time in the temple increases our confidence before the Lord, (and) increased time in the temple will help us prepare for the second coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.”
While an exterior rendering of the temple remains to be released, plans for the Spanish Fork Utah Temple call for a multistory structure of approximately 80,000 square feet, according to a news release published Monday on ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Accompanying the temple on the site will also be an ancillary building.
