Have you ever felt like your dino nuggets don’t have a suitable dinner companion? Well now you can have a fully Jurassic meal with Ore-Ida’s new Dino tater tots.
For the first time in 20 years the potato company is changing the shape of its tater tots, not only with the dinosaur-shaped ones but also with new star-shaped tots for America250.
“Ore-Ida invented Tater Tots — and now, we’re shaping what comes next,” said Claire Lukaszewski, senior brand manager of Ore-Ida, in a press release. “With Dino and Star Tater Tots, we’re building on more than 70 years of potato expertise to bring new energy to the category — delivering the same great taste people expect in formats that feel fun, relevant, and made for today.”
Both of the new shapes of tater tots are now available at major retailers across the U.S. in both 28-ounce and 5-pound bags.
People online appreciate the tater-tots making dino-shaped food more accessible as they are gluten-free and vegetarian.
About the new tater tot shapes
The dinosaur-shaped tots come in four different prehistoric shapes: Triceratops, Brontosaurus, T-Rex and a Dino foot, per Allrecipes.
The company said that the dinosaur shapes are meant to tap “into the cross-generational love of dinosaurs — from childhood nostalgia to pop culture fascination — in a format that is easy for parents and fun for kids.”
The star shapes in partnership with America250 are to celebrate the United States’ 250th birthday. They will bring patriotic and celebratory flair to any meal.
