On Sunday, President Trump detailed a plan to create a safe zone for Syrian refugees along the Turkish-Syrian border. Although the president’s recent decision to withdraw troops from Syria has outraged many, most notably Sen. Mitt Romney, everyone should recognize the needs of the people of Syria and advocate for better foreign policy.
Sen. Romney should support the Global Fragility Act, which will strengthen U.S. national security by reducing environments in which terrorism, criminal activity and corruption thrive.
