If you know Team Andrus, you know we’re all about showing up with heart and energy. That’s why our family is so committed to the Utah athletic scene, from joining the RSL ownership group to investing in the Olympics — we love the lifeblood Utah sports pump into our communities. It’s about more than the game — it’s about the chance to stand shoulder to shoulder with neighbors from across the state and cheer, hope and belong together. And Utah’s moment in the national and global spotlight is only growing with league expansions and the return of the Winter Olympics.

Utah has proven time and again that it can shine on the national stage. But what makes us truly stand out isn’t just the spotlight — it’s what happens behind the scenes, where innovation meets community and investments are made in the people who will carry this state into the future.

That’s why we’re thrilled that out of countless worthy causes, the PGA TOUR Bank of Utah Championship chose to highlight The Policy Project and Teen Centers as the official charitable beneficiary and community impact program of the Championship. For us, it’s proof that Utah’s values of innovation, community and investing in youth are gaining national attention.

Here are the new names helping to organize Utah’s 2034 Winter Games

In response to rising student homelessness and barriers to education, we partnered with The Policy Project, the Utah Legislature and a dozen Utah philanthropic families in 2023 to make a landmark investment in Teen Centers. These are safe, welcoming school-based hubs where students can access food, clothing, hygiene supplies, laundry and supportive services. By the end of 2025, there will be 85 Teen Centers across the state, serving more than 84,000 students each year.

Teen Centers might not make the nightly sports highlights, but for students, they are game changers. For students experiencing hardship, a Teen Center can mean the difference between disengagement and opportunity. And that transforms futures.

One student in Utah County asked to use the Teen Center’s laundry facilities to wash his work uniform. Without a washing machine at home, he had been spending the equivalent of six hours of wages a month at a laundromat and was even facing write-ups at work for a dirty uniform. With access to the washer and dryer, everything changed — not just his uniform. The financial strain eased, his confidence grew and his whole attitude toward school transformed. What might look like a small convenience to us has been life changing for him.

What began as a pilot has quickly become a statewide effort, thanks to visionary leaders and legislators who understood the long-term impact of these centers. Teen Centers exist today because Utah leaders believed in the idea, funded it boldly and partnered with communities to make it real. They saw it for what it is: a powerful, innovative solution that addresses immediate needs while setting students up for future success.

That’s also what the PGA TOUR recognized in choosing a cause to spotlight. They saw a model that solves real problems in a sustainable, human way. They saw a state that uses its resources and partnerships to ensure no student is left behind. By highlighting Teen Centers on a national stage, they’re showing the country what innovation in education and community support looks like.

For us as donors, this alignment between Utah’s values and the PGA recognition is exactly why we’re proud to invest here. We believe in the Utah way — big ideas paired with practical solutions rooted in community. Teen Centers embody those values.

Utah is in the middle of a surge of national attention. These moments bring eyes to our state, but what truly makes Utah unique is our ability to take that energy and channel it into something that lasts. Teen Centers don’t just serve students today; they build the foundation for Utah’s future workforce, leaders and innovators.

That’s why we’re joining forces with partners like the PGA TOUR Bank of Utah Championship. They recognize that Utah’s model is one worth sharing nationwide. Most importantly, they recognize what we do: the future of Utah is in our kids, and the best investment we can make is in them.
